Brown County Brouhaha - November 2018


Inspired by Rick and Len’s legendary Small Town Crime Wave, Brown County Brouhaha recaps some of the month’s more noteworthy calls made through the Brown County dispatch. Sometimes tragic, often times hysterical, Brown County Brouhaha is a harsh reminder of what our public servants deal with on a day-to-day basis. Thanks to all who contributed.

1200 block Washington – Wrightstown – Fully engulfed barn fire





4:12 pm – 11/1/18
1700 block N Irwin – Possible WEAPONS CALL – female chasing male w/ a knife

12:18 pm – 11/2/18
Nancy Ave – Female/female verbal disturbance – a couple of calls on this from both sides, each accusing the other of several different things – the last call was an anonymous caller saying they have a whole bunch of drugs in the basement

1800 block Shawano Ave - Unknown if a disturbance or a couple "having relations"

2500 block Northern Harrier Pass – Teenagers wearing Chewbacca masks ding-dong ditching

Brown County – Newborn baby tested positive for meth & marijuana

41 SB from 29 – Person is flipping off the complainant

Bridge Port Ct – Unknown party rings complainant’s doorbell every morning at 3 am – comp has video evidence

Emilie St – Neighbors in a “skirmish” over raking leaves

335 N Washington – Flats on the Fox – On the top of the ramp there’s four teenagers smoking marijuana and looking over the top of the ramp – male native wearing blue jeans, dark colored shirt and a male black wearing a white sweater – the caller said they came in a vehicle, a dark mini SUV and a dark two door


8:10 pm – 11/3/18
Velp Ave – Watering Hole – They’re having a wrestling event and there’s a wrestler outside the ring in need of rescue



8:47 pm – 11/3/18
E Mission Rd – Male party stating he can see green lights up in the trees, thinks they may be fire flies – is possibly under the influence

11:28 am - 11/4/18
1400 block E Mason – Vehicle vs. house



1:40 pm – 11/4/18
Eminence St – Burglary – One of the neighbors kicked in complainant’s door and stole some candy and loose change

Kickapoo Pl – 911 accidental dial – caller thought 911 was for information 


12:36 am – 11/6/18
Main St - Toppers Pizza – ROBBERY – suspect was pretending like he had a gun in his pocket – no gun was shown

  • UPDATE: Police said the suspect fled w/ an undetermined amount of cash




5:25 pm 11/6/18
2590 Holmgren Way – Golden Corral – disturbance – male/female physical & verbal – no weapons – the female party spit on the manager – female black, dark jacket, dark shirt, multi colored leggings

1100 block Klaus – Uncooperative opossum

9:18 pm – 11/6/18
1000 block S Erie – Happened about five minutes ago, a female/female verbal disturbance – one had a taser, it was not used – she left in a Honda, unknown color or direction of travel 



5:27 pm – 11/7/18
1451 University – Boys and Girls Club – Complainant states 3 male blacks came in a white vehicle and were physical w/ them – they left NB on Webster – they did not take anything from them and the complainant did not know who they were




12:20 pm – 11/8/18
Heritage @ S Broadway – De Pere – Grain spill in the roundabout



5:48 pm – 11/8/18
Brown County – Harassment complaint – female called in on 911 crying, stating that another female party is threatening to shoot her – the suspect is not on scene – comp is also stating that apparently the suspect has stabbed people before


8:04 pm – 11/8/18
1800 block Western – Complainant stating two people got into a white Buick, pulled into the lot, then pulled back out – comp sounds intoxicated, he doesn’t want to speak w/officers but wants this investigated




10:28 pm – 11/8/18
1132 S Military – Elf’s Gifts – ARMED ROBBERY – At about 8:40 pm complainant said they were robbed at gunpoint - the male had the gun inside his sweatshirt – description is a male Hispanic, was wearing a black ski mask – unknown color of shirt, blue jeans, he did come on foot



10:47 am – 11/8/18
Howard area – Possible burglary in process – caller believes someone is inside his home – thinks he heard someone open the front door – also believes he heard voices – has barricaded himself w/ his wife and dogs in their bedroom

  • UPDATE: Caller sounds intoxicated
  • UPDATE: 10:59 pm – Officer: “All clear here.”

7:30 am – 11/9/18
Riverside Dr – Green Bay Correctional – Staff assault – male 50’s bleeding from the nose – send EMS (news story)


12:48 pm – 11/9/18
Blahnik Rd – Complainant wants to speak w/ an officer in reference to her neighbor’s pony who keeps coming into her yard



3:02 pm – 11/9/18
Green Bay – Female just met up w/ a male she met on Tinder and he drove away w/her purse and her 2018 Chevy Silverado

5:44 pm – 11/9/18
900 block Shea Ave – Suspicious situation – Complainant states 3 individuals wearing headlamps crawled inside a nearby house through a window

6:00 pm – 11/9/18
Green Bay – Male/female/female verbal disturbance – wife returned home and there was an unknown woman inside the house with her husband.

  • UPDATE: Female was there to purchase a fish tank. Female left on foot.




7:49 pm – 11/9/18
Walmart – Baby left alone in car seat in back seat of car

  • UPDATE: 8:03 pm – Officer to dispatch: “There is no baby involved in the call. It’s Patrick…from SpongeBob. I’m 10-8 (available).”

1300 block S Oakland – ARMED ROBBERY – 10 mins ago one of the (Lombardi Ave) delivery drivers was robbed at gunpoint




5:32 pm – 11/10/18
West side Green Bay – Female was using a Q-tip and the cotton is stuck in her ear – conscious & breathing, send EMS

5:58 pm – 11/10/18
1618 Velp Ave – Velp Express – Female on the line stating that she is currently across the street in the car lot hiding behind vehicles from her mother, stating that they were involved in a disturbance in the vehicle – the mother slammed on the brakes and told the female to get out of the vehicle – the mother will be in a black Escalade, unknown where the mom is at this time



10:40 pm – 11/10/18
N Ashland – Complainant reporting the smell of marijuana in an apartment and also a white powder that is floating around in the hallway that you can almost taste and feels he’s having breathing issues but is refusing rescue



4:20 pm – 11/11/18
Cedar @ Irwin – ROBBERY – Female was just robbed by a male who had his hands in his pockets (pretending to have a weapon) but did not display any weapons

  • UPDATE: It was a hookup between the male & female – he took her money and then took off

5:00 am – 11/12/18
E Mason – Caller calling for a female who stated she was just robbed – not able to get much info from her – (was a) male w/ long blonde hair & black jacket

N Overland Rd – There’s construction going on and lights in the area, complainant feels it’s too early in the morning for this

400 block John St – In the back parking lot for a theft of a sweatshirt that occurred two days ago – unknown suspects 



6:33 pm – 11/12/18
1228 S Military Ave – Family Pet Food Center parking lot – ROBBERY – no weapons used – male suspect pushed female to the ground and stole her purse – female victim requesting rescue for possible knee injury – suspect is a male black approx. 18-20 years old wearing a black hooded jacket

  • UPDATE: Suspect IN CUSTODY


9:07 am – 11/13/18
121 N St Augustine – Pulaski Pharmacy – ROBBERY – Male suspect ran away on foot down the alley – male white, “scruffy” beard, black “puffy” coat, white winter hat w/ tassels, big black sunglasses – no injuries – stated he had a handgun, no gun was displayed – stole bottles of pain medication (news article)

Leo Frigo Bridge – NB between Atkinson & Webster – there is a cat walking over the bridge

  • UPDATE: Cat was rescued by Officer Zwicky, was reportedly adopted and named “Leo Frigo” 




11:53 am – 11/13/18

Viking Dr – Complainant’s ex boyfriend stole her vehicle – happened two days ago, just noticed it gone

820 Armed Forces Dr – Resch Center – Male party made a bomb threat – he is detained by security – no weapons or bombs were in the bag he had – sounds like male party was on scene loading equipment for a group that’s performing

2400 block S Oneida – Male & female “Digging in the furniture” – they’re here to pick up kids that were kicked out of the store earlier

Baird @ University – Complainant would like the welfare checked of several kids that are walking NB on Baird between Baird & Radisson (N Irwin) – says it’s too cold for them to be walking outside

Manitowoc Rd – Complainant is stating that there’s a male party here by the named of Tiny that was physical w/ him – saying that the male party is hiding

 


6:54 am – 11/14/18

6900 block Cnty Hwy G – Vehicle vs deer – vehicle is now on fire




7:00 am-ish – 11/14/18
Bluebird @ Cook St – Two vehicle accident – no injuries (blown stop sign)



8:20-ish am – 11/15/18

1200 block Redwood Dr – Complainant calling stating her son is throwing items in the house – premise notes say he’s an Aryan Brotherhood member, has numerous weapons including swords & knives – has made comments he was going to throw acid on police and “Go down fighting to the death” – has unknown types of chemicals in the house

  • UPDATE: Suspect in custody – HAZMAT & Bomb Squad on scene (news story)



4:20 pm – 11/15/18
41 SB @ 43 NB flyover – two vehicle accident – in traffic



6:44 pm – 11/15/18
Airport Dr – Austin Straubel Airport – Flight coming in ETA 20-25 minutes – there’s a male on the flight that fell down a flight of stairs and a refrigerator fell on him – he’s on ventilation at this time – unknown if he’s conscious – there’s a medical flight crew on board



7:17 pm – 11/15/18
700 block S Broadway – Male hit in the back of the head w/ a liquor bottle – unknown where the suspect is or who did this – going on outside the bar



10:15 pm – 11/15/18
Lineville @ 41 – roundabout – 1 vehicle accident – male party 20’s w/ possible head injury – conscious & breathing – vehicle is on fire, fully engulfed





8:55 am – 11/16/18
Brown Rd on ramp to 41 – Vehicle fire – fully engulfed - everyone is out of the vehicle

Leon Bond Dr – Kress Event Center – Physical disturbance between several soccer players in the turf gym – no mention of weapons


10:01 pm – 11/16/18

600 block Bellevue – Disturbance that happened an hour ago – male party smashed the back window of the bar w/ a hatchet

1300 block E Walnut – Female party hitting a car w/ a baseball bat




10:33 am – 11/17/18
300 block S Taylor – Road rage incident – male party got out of his vehicle and threatened the complainant w/ a tire iron
1:53 pm – 11/17/18
1203 E Mason – Bake My Day – ROBBERY – Male Hispanic w/ neck tattoos, brown jacket & glasses – took money from the register – did not have a weapon – took off on foot on Roosevelt towards Main St – no injuries



2:41 pm – 11/17/18

Brown County – Male housekeeper attempted to rub a female guest’s back and kept trying to lift her skirt up as well while she was sitting on the bed


5 pm-ish – 11/17/18
Roy Ave – Unknown male came to complainant’s door – he was wearing a bathrobe and described as a male white w/ a beard – he came in a dark F-150 – “He just stopped at the complainant’s house to thank her for being…ah…good to the earth.”




6 pm-ish - 11/17/18
500 block Pine St – Female by a white vehicle – they were taking tools out, possibly stealing the tools – complainant also thought it may have been a man dressed as a woman



10:56 pm - 11/17/18
43 @ Atkinson – Vehicle spun out – male driver got out, took off the plates, and took off running SB on Atkinson – male white, dark sweatshirt & backpack




2:08 am – 11/18/18

700 block Bodart – Physical disturbance between possibly 5 people – subjects were using chairs (during the fight) – there’s broken glass inside the bar

2:12 am – Officer: “Yeah I’m looking at the carnage.”

Arch St – Peacock hanging out in complainant’s driveway

5:13 pm – 11/18/18 Main St – Walmart – At the Guns Rd entrance a car swerved at the complainant and ended up getting stuck on top of a decorative rock

400 block Wilcox Ct – De Pere – WEAPONS CALL – Report of a male party chasing a female party w/ a knife – also being reported he had choked her






6:35 pm – 11/18/18
W Point Rd – Caller’s tenant broke into his house – caller said he has a CCW so he pulled a gun on that tenant




7:45 pm – 11/18/18

Elm @ Forest – Couple “having relations” in a parked car – ongoing issue


10 pm-ish – 11/18/18
Brown County – Welfare check – Complainant believes his neighbor has a mechanical wall that he’s able to spy on people with and that he moved his chimney


9:09 pm – 11/19/18
W Mason – Walmart – Manager found a small bag w/ what looks to be drugs in it – see him at the loss prevention office



9:43 pm – 11/19/18
2746 Freedom Rd – Male party was thrown from a vehicle and is asking for police officers – he was agitated at first and refusing rescue – he’s currently calmed down and sitting at a table



1:53 pm – 11/20/18
Velp Ave – Male party took a BMW for a test drive this morning – suspect told owner over the phone he couldn’t return the vehicle because his mother had a heart attack and is currently at the hospital

  • UPDATE: 2:17 pm – Owners of the vehicle currently have it blocked in at U Pump – the vehicle is occupied

Western Ave – Complainant came home to find a 2 or 3 year old boy outside wrapped in a blanket

Whisper Ln – PD on scene of a disturbance where a male party was stabbed – requesting rescue come stage until scene is clear

  • UPDATE: male patient refusing rescue, stating he’s not hurt
  • ** Whisper shut down @ Hawthorne
  • 6:30 pm – Male in custody (news story)

Badger Ln – Male party stating a female drugged him and stole some of his items

300 block Whisper Ln (Triangle Dr) – WEAPONS CALL – Male party standing in the doorway w/ a gun
** “Sounds like he fired off a couple of shots”
** PD out w/ the complainant
** Bearcat/SWAT deployed to scene

  • UPDATE: 10:52 pm – Male party in custody

Cook @ Coral – 7 to 9 year old boy waiting for the bus – complainant concerned because there’s no school today

Monroe @ Chicago Disturbance that originated on Howard St – male party beat up ex-girlfriend – female was picked up by a friend, the male followed them and tried crashing into their vehicle – they stopped at the Shell Station where the male was arrested

Smith @ Clay – Check the area for a dog running loose – big black dog w/ red paws
Officer: “Copy. Red paws”

2800 block S Oneida – EMS for male employee that zipped up his genitalia in his zipper

Bellevue @ Industrial – Driver hit the RR track light pole – no serious injuries

1053 Velp Ave – Shell Station – ROBBERY – Male suspect gave a note to clerk that said give me all the money I have a gun

2999 Lakeview Dr – Pilgrim Lutheran Church – Disturbance over a child exchange – suspect dented another person’s car on purpose – no one is injured – should be a red Civic on scene – also a white Jeep involved – male suspect was yelling and throwing items – someone from the white Jeep grabbed the child and drove off in the Honda

800 block Lombardi – Intoxicated male party that’s refusing to leave – he’s currently sitting on a bench by the water park – he’s not a guest – he’s getting touchy feely w/ the staff – male white, gray beanie cap, dark black jacket & sweatpants





7:23 pm – 11/22/18

4300 block Windemer Ln – Female/female physical disturbance – they’re reportedly fighting over Black Friday shopping


12:30-ish am – 11/23/18
Mason between 14th & 15th Ave – Vehicle accident – unknown injuries – male driver was entrapped, was able to get out and walk – was transported to the hospital



2:37 pm – 11/23/18
2321 S Oneida - Asian Wok – 2 black males inside the restaurant – one was pretending to order something while the 2nd male grabbed the tip jar and ran – last seen on foot headed toward the mall

  • UPDATE: One of the suspects in custody

Lineville @ Bayshore Dr – Vehicle in the water upside down on its roof totally submerged – vehicle is unoccupied

700 block Bodart St – Male party inside the bar trying to sell cocaine to customers – male black wearing a long gray coat


2:55 AM – 11/23/18
Riverside @ W Deerfield – report of a train possibly hitting two people on the railroad tracks – called in by Canadian National

  • UPDATE: One of the males was able to jump off the tracks at the last minute, the second male was hit by the train and later died from his injuries (news story

2800 block Ramada Way – Female guest who was arrested back in April called to ask if her items were still at the motel

517 Dousman- Subway – Female purposely started her hair on fire – sending EMS

8:50-ish pm – 11/25/18
2659 W Mason – Subway – ARMED ROBBERY – Male suspect stated he had a gun, caller never saw a weapon – suspect was wearing all black clothing, black hoodie – took the entire cash drawer – no injuries




9:07 am – 11/26/18
2000 block Shawano – Employee keeps bringing her cat to work – this is the 3rd day in a row

7:25 pm – 11/26/18
Shawano @ Oneida – Two young boys (10 & 11) stating a man w/ a knife was following them – suspect is a male white, 50’s, gray leather jacket
**Suspect last seen on Western
*Officer out w/ the boys

3650 Veterans Ave – Snowshoe Estates – ROBBERY – male who was jumped outside of his apartment door and struck in the arm w/ a crowbar – male has possible arm injury – EMS/PD en route



6 am – 11/27/18
Brown County – Complainant called because she woke up this morning and her vehicle was missing – while officers were en route, dispatch found this vehicle was repossessed – dispatch is calling complainant to advise

1:57 pm – 11/27/18
2700 block Osha-He-Trail – SWAT took male party into custody without incident – male is a suspect in a series of armed robberies (news story)



9:13 pm – 11/27/18
University Avenue Market – Retail theft – Female, 20’s, just left on foot WB on University – she left her purse inside the store
** Female has a warrant out of Brown County

10:56 am – 11/28/18
Webster over 172 – Report of a male holding a dog over the edge – called in by passerby

11:26 am – 11/28/18
Packerland @ Mason – 3 vehicle accident



5 pm – 11/28/18
2500 block N View Ct – Complainant stated she committed crimes in Puerto Rico and wants to turn herself in 

5:24 pm – 11/28/18
Velp Ave – CVS – Retail theft that happened earlier – suspect left his backpack in the store

10:15 pm – 11/28/18
41 NB S of Norfield – two vehicles on fire – vehicle hit an unoccupied parked/stalled vehicle on the side of the highway – driver was able to exit vehicle – was taken to the hospital for minor chest injuries




10:39 am – 11/29/18

1300 block Parkview Rd – Male party showed up to a job interview very intoxicated and left in a pickup truck – last seen on Commodity

5:26 pm – 11/29/18
Walnut @ Irwin - Male party called 911 and flagged down an officer to say intersection is too slippery - Officer told male this was not an appropriate use of 911 and said salt trucks would be coming through.

200 block N. Washington - Complainant's ex-wife is letting all of the air out of his tires.
