Brown County Brouhaha - October 2018






Inspired by Rick and Len’s legendary Small Town Crime WaveBrown County Brouhaha recaps some of the month’s more noteworthy calls made through the Brown County dispatch. Sometimes tragic, often times hysterical, Brown County Brouhaha is a harsh reminder of what our public servants deal with on a day-to-day basis. Thanks to all who contributed.

11:45 am – 10/2/18
1913 S. Webster – McDonald’s – Male party was just fired and now he’s refusing to leave and threatening to beat up employees – male black wearing a McDonald’s uniform and a puffy coat

1:28 pm – 10/2/18
Bay Beach – Two vehicles occupied by juveniles doing burnouts in the gravel parking lot – one of the vehicles hit a sign and now has a flat tire

Crest Ln – Group of juveniles taking their clothes off in the backyard – they then left on foot headed towards Finger Rd

West side GB – EMS for male party 40’s who won’t stop crying, keeps saying “Mama, I didn’t do it”

Brown County – Male party in the shower yelling the devil is going to get him

5 pm – 10/4/18
Shawano Ave – Male party pushing a shopping cart down the middle of the street – male white, green hoodie, swollen eye – now headed towards Fleet Farm

6:10 am – 10/4/18
4700 block Milltown Rd – Gas station – Female party asking complainant to call police, she is also asking for gas money – she’s saying someone wants to kill her and needs directions to Menominee

  • UPDATE: Now the mother of the female is calling and states someone is trying to get the female
  • 6:30 am – Officers on scene requesting rescue for female under the influence of unknown narcotics

2700 block Packerland Dr – Injured opossum – caller thought it was dead so they put it in a garbage can

2500 block Dollar Rd – Complainant states there’s 3 wild hogs in their front yard

Navarino Park – Male party exposed himself and urinated – male white 50’s

1614 Shawano Ave – Motel 6 – Welfare check for male party in the lobby stating he’s barking and can’t control his body movements

Brown County – Meet the complainant at Kwik Trip, would like to speak w/ an officer – he just picked up his son from his mother’s house and the child’s backpack smells like marijuana

Argonne Park – WEAPONS CALL – Male party, approx 7-13 years old, wearing a bright green & blue jacket, pointed a long gun at the complainant’s car

Shawano Ave – Tenants in the upper unit are stomping and keeping the caller’s wife awake, ongoing issue, would like to speak w/ officers

100 block S Military – Failed field sobriety test

Area of Washington & Pine – Male & female urinating on complainant’s property – female is wearing a purple shirt, black leggings, & boots

Eastman Ave – Male party backed into complainant’s vehicle after honking at complainant’s wife

S Webster – Complainant has been gone for a week and discovered that someone has ripped open a bag of sugar

Highway 29 EB just W of County FF – Vehicle rollover accident w/ entrapment – male driver was uninjured

Harold St – Harassment complaint – suspect keeps randomly driving past complainant’s house and swearing at them


6:39 am – 10/9/18
Shawano @ Taylor – school bus vs. Trailblazer – no injuries – no students were on the bus

Wood Ln – Turkey (Smoke) chasing kids riding bikes

1700 block S Huron – White Ford Bronco w/ CA plates is tearing up the grass in the back lot – left NB

West side GB – Complainant states a female put a baby in the trunk of a gray Toyota

  • UPDATE: 7:38 am – Officer found vehicle and it’s a baby doll in the trunk

Area of Harvey @ Webster – Complainant stating he was just sexually assaulted by a naked female, no weapons – says she jumped him and she’s currently underneath the gazebo in the park

  • UPDATE: Nude female is in the gazebo yelling
  • ** FD moved her into the station to get her out of the elements – possible mental health issues, suspected drug use

600 block E Walnut – Tree fell on a vehicle and brought some power lines down on a house, starting the roof on fire

Bond St – Complainant stating noise coming from the haunted house is loud and making it difficult for her to sleep

Preble Ave – 14 year old male refusing to go to school – states he is going to leave home – will not be cooperative w/ officers – is currently in his room packing a suitcase

W Briar – Male party trying to dial an international number keeps calling 911

Dousman St – Female party was interested in an apartment online and messaged a man asking to show the apartment – he showed his genitals instead via pics & webcam

2900 block Allied St – Two males tried pulling a female out of her vehicle and stole her purse – suspects both wearing black w/ something covering their faces, last seen walking NB on foot - no mention of weapons or injuries

43 NB at the Manitowoc County line – male party in a white Honda eating a bowl of cereal while driving

901 S Fisk – Colburn Park – Report of a male who popped out from behind a tree w/ a knife

2000 block Shady Ln – Turkey (Smoke) chasing kid down the street

Smith St – Complainant upset there’s a newspaper in their driveway that doesn’t belong to them

S Oneida – Goodwill – Retail theft – suspect dropped her purse while exiting the store

Caller states there’s a couple w/ a no contact order walking WB on the Main St bridge together – the male party also has a warrant

  • UPDATE: Male & female stopped on N Broadway – male taken into custody

Main St bridge – Vehicle search and male party taken into custody

Doblon St – Disturbance – 911 open line, female can be heard yelling “I want to kill you!”
  • **both the male and the female may have/had a knife
  • **male party broke his knife at the scene and left, female party put away her knife
  • **male black, red sweatshirt, jeans

WB on Freedom Rd – Possible drunk driver just drove away from traffic stop – vehicle is in the wrong lane of traffic

300 block S Webster – Intoxicated male party stated he was pranking w/ his friend and now he’s in handcuffs and can’t get out of them – was uncooperative w/ call taker – several bogus calls made from this address/number in the past

1200 block S 6th – Noise complaint – neighbor is using a snow blower

2700 block Packerland Dr – Landlord throwing complainant’s things in the yard – is no longer on scene

1286 E Mason – Glass Monkey – possible structure fire – smoke coming out from the top of the building

  • UPDATE: Confirmed working fire in the attic (news story)

1600 block Mid Valley Dr – Male party urinated all over the business – last seen on foot headed towards Cellcom

4:51 am – 10/16/18
Broadway @ Dousman – Vehicle took off from officer and crashed into another vehicle at the intersection – two occupants fled on foot – a female occupant was trapped inside the hit vehicle

  • UPDATE: 5:30 am – One suspect in custody, he was caught in the 600 block of N Maple in a garage

1400 block 7th St – Party that’s been going on all night is finally quiet but there’s a vehicle partially parked on complainant’s yard

300 block S Maple – Suspicious person – male white wearing a white hoodie looking into windows

172 over Oneida – Vehicle fire – no injuries

626 Pinehurst Ave – Martin Elementary – Nighttime janitor can hear kids running & laughing on the roof – has not actually seen them but can hear them

Danbar Dr – White Chevy Cruze has been parking in the area for 20 to 30 minutes at a time – complainant concerned it may be sex trafficking

1600 block 9th St – Complainant’s neighbor is outside kicking, hitting, and head butting a tree – been going on for 10 minutes now

1600 block Langlade – Male party who appears to be under the influence of something just entered complainant’s house saying someone is trying to shoot him
  • UPDATE: 3:50 pm – Male in custody

University Ave – City bus – two females in a verbal disturbance over a laundry basket

Voyageur Park – Group of kids “trying to run each other over with their cars” and “lots of horn honking”

1600 block Shawano Ave – Complainant stating his female stalker is currently in the parking lot

4500 block Shawano – Garage on fire spreading to the house – everyone has evacuated

Trojan Dr – Male/female verbal disturbance – female is upset the male doesn’t have quarters for the laundry

8:39 am – 10/22/18
S Clay – Female party on the line not making much sense – says her car was damaged in the garage and her friends are saying it happened somewhere else – stated she needs  “a real good detective”

Packerland @ 9th – unknown situation – two male subjects taken into custody at gunpoint

E River Dr & Hoffman area – unknown SWAT situation

Viking Dr – Facebook marketplace meeting over a vehicle that went wrong. Looks like the suspect took the money when they were haggling over the price. Happened about 15 minutes ago. He did leave the car behind. Took complainant’s cash. Left in a dark colored Civic. Unknown direction or plate

Brown County – Complainant’s grandson just dove into a pile of leaves and is now unable to move – EMS en route

Day St – Male party keeps calling 911 stating his phone is locked and needs officers to unlock it – keeps yelling and swearing at call taker

Blackhawk Dr – Male/female physical disturbance – female tried running over the male w/ her vehicle

Challenger Dr – Nature’s Way – pickup truck on fire – fully engulfed – not close to any structures

Green Bay – Security is watching a male at the entrance that’s not quite all there – (he’s) saying he may stab someone and is talking about body parts in a bag

Roosevelt near Stuart – Group of kids aged 5 to 15 years old jumping in front of cars with clown masks on

3976 W Mason – Oneida Apple Orchard – Report of a vehicle stuck in the apple orchard – elderly female party came to complainant’s door asking for assistance – they did try two wrecker services but both refused

Brown County – Complainant stating his ex girlfriend is stalking him and she hacked into his phone – comp also stated she still lives with him

435 E Walnut – outside the Press Gazette – Highly intoxicated male party was stabbed multiple times with a butcher knife – EMS en route - PD searching for suspect

Oak St – Disturbance between neighbors over a washing machine

900 block Waube Ln – Retail theft – female party stole two bags of candy and took off in a pickup truck w/ a flat tire
